Most children in Kenya grow up in a daily life marked by violence, every form of abuse, sickness, and grief of the loss of a family member amongst other issues. These traumatized children suffer depression, nightmares, loss of self-worth, mental health breakdown and often are the source of future aggression. Tabitha children foundation believe all children have the rights to belong to a loving family, right to education and good health.
Study have shown that children who have access to these rights grow as independent individuals who can help break through the cycle of poverty by being empowered to take their future into their own hands and play an active part in shaping their own destiny.
My heart bleeds for these children. I couldn’t help all but I thought of helping with little I had just to touch one child at a time. As time went on, the needs became more and there was no enough support. I believe God has called me in this ministry and where He calls He provides. That’s my belief and I trust Him because He sees the suffering of these little lambs.
Tabitha children foundation is hinged on four key pillars:
- education,
- nutrition,
- healthcare and
- spiritual
By prioritizing education, nutrition, healthcare and spiritual growth for vulnerable children, we create a solid foundation for individual children to face life based on the skills and knowledge gotten from life experiences. As Tabitha foundation it is essential to recognize that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. By committing resources and efforts towards vulnerable children and come up with development initiatives, we can break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for these children.
The time to act is now; together we can ensure that every child has the chance to reach their full potential. I encourage all well-wishers to support Tabitha children foundation to bring children home and give them full support in a safe loving family environment. I take you back to the four gospels, only in Matthew 15:32 and Mark 8:1-3 the authors wrote that Jesus felt compassion to the crowd. What would you do now that you know? Would you just be a bystander or be the one to stretch your hand and offer help, please pause and think?
